Meeting your requirements

The best place to start is by looking at your wedding, as there is no such thing as a standard wedding.

Every wedding is unique, and requires personalised planning / organisation and attention to detail, including the photography.

We are however commited to working with you to meet both your requirements and budget.

Planning process outline

Initial contact
You can contact us by phone or email. At this initial exchange we can cover issues like if we are available for your wedding and pencil you in to our diary.

We have a standard list of photographs that we can email to you. This list, provides a useful guide to help you decide on the photographs you would like to have taken.

Initial meeting
The initial meeting is intended to discuss your requirements in more detail on a one to one basis.

We feel that this initial meeting is important, as it gives us an opportunity to meet you in a relaxed atmosphere and get a feeling of what you are both looking for. We will cover issues like what style and what photographs you would like, and the logistics of your wedding day in more detail.

Photographs will in general include:

Candid shots of getting ready.

Bride, bridesmaides, pageboys, Bride and Mother, Bride and Father etc.

Candid shots of guests arriving at Church / ceremony / pictures of guests seated.

Bride arriving.

Bride coming down the aisle. *

The ceremony. *

Signing of the register. *

Bride and groom walking down the aisle and exiting the Church. *

Walking through the Confetti. *

Friends and family groups.

Just the Bride and Groom.

Arriving at the reception.

The reception.

Additional shots of key items or arrangements.

Candid shots throughout the day.

* Please note that some Churches, Ministers or Registry offices impose restrictions on what photography is allowed during the service. In some cases we may be able to stage particular shots where they are not permitted during the actual service.

The rehearsal
We like to attend the rehearsal as this provides an opportunity to cover the logistics issues. During the rehersal we can also cover how to overcome any restrictions that may be placed on the photography by the Church, Minister, Registry office or by the location.

On the day
We will attempt to capture all the requested images in addition to taking some candid / reportage shots throughout the event.

Attendance charge
We charge £200.00 for the day. £100.00 of this is a non-refundable booking fee.

Online image proofing
After your wedding, we will review the images taken and upload the selected images to a password protected area on our website for you, your family and friends to review.

CD images
If you would like your images on CD we will do the image enhancement on your selected images and provide you with full resolution images with full reproduction rights for £5.00 per image.

Prints
Any size up to A4 are £10.00 each, this includes image enhancement including cropping and adjustments. Any size over A4 and up to A3 are £20.00 each, this includes image enhancement including cropping and adjustments.

Canvas prints
16 x 24 inch (approx.) are £95.00 each, this includes image enhancement, cropping and adjustments for canvas printing.

Wedding albums
When choosing an album you need to consider a number of issues, including the number and size of pages you need to hold your selected images. There are lots of wedding albums available with prices ranging from about £50.00 to hundreds of pounds.

The key factors that affect the price are:

Due to the wide range available, your personal preference and your budget we are happy to just supply the images so you can select the album of your choice and mount the images. If you would like us to mount your images we can do this for a fee that depends on the style of album selected. If you are choosing your own album we would suggest that you ensure that it is acid free as over time non acid free materials can degrade your images. John Lewis have an acid free Self Adhesive Wedding Album (from £50.00 at the time of writing).

Airbrushing and image editing
Sometimes images will require more than just cropping and enhancement. In these cases we provide an airbrushing and image editing service that is based on an hourly charge of £20.00 per hour. Some examples may include the removal of background items that may be distracting in the final image or airbrushing to create a "Hollywood look".
