Steam rally images,

These photographs were taken at the steam rally on the 5th July 2008 at Prestwood Bucks.

In addition to some some images of the steam engines I also tried to capture a number of candid pictures of the characters who dedicate hours to maintain these truly fantastic machines. Without the dedication of enthusiasts no one would be able to enjoy the glory of these remarkable machines. It was nice to see the smiles of a number of younger supporters.

Please note these images have been optimised for web viewing (reduced resolution) from the higher resolution masters taken and will look a bit harsher than the masters.

There are a number of things that can affect the brightness, colors and quality you see on your screen including:

These images have been reduced in size and color range to make it easier for web viewing, so they are lower quality than the master images.
Your screens brightness setting.
Your screens color settings.
Your screens resolution and quality.
The background (room) lighting.
The angle you look at the screen. Some screens are very sensitive to viewing angle.
Some screens with anti-glare coatings, background lighting and screen tinting also affect the colors you will see.
